Volunteer
Church of the Good Shepherd is blessed with a significant cadre of volunteers who give many hours of time and service to our church.
Church Office - Reception
The reception desk is often the first contact most callers or visitors have with our church. It is capably staffed with with volunteers daily. They give general church information, direct phone calls to appropriate individuals, take messages, receive and disburse incoming mail and handle a variety of secretarial tasks. Even the scheduling of receptionists is handled by a volunteer.
Workshop
Our workshop is stocked with a variety of tools and hardware items donated by members. This shop is manned daily by a volunteer whose service makes a difference to the daily functioning and appearance of our facilities.
The repairs and building enhancements of all property are generally handled by members on an 'as-needed' basis. Recently, the entire plaster exterior of our buildings and most of the trim was painted by volunteers.

Saturday Work Days
On the first Saturday of each month, volunteers come together to work on the campus grounds and parish. The work groups fertilize, trim, prune and plant. Even the sprinklers are kept in order, helping to keep our grounds green and attractive.
Volunteer services give the donor a more complete sense of ownership and allow the
church to use funds for important humanitarian programs instead.
